January 07 Meeting Minutes

We also received a thank you from the Humane Shelter for helping with the cleaning. The Treasurer’s Report was given by Sam Marwitz.The balance as of the last meeting on12-3-06 was $1,606.19.The current balance is $1,800.82
Committee Reports: None
Old Business: Caiti Enger reported on the Santa’s Workshop and said thank you to all who attended. Sally Chapman reported on Caroling at the Nursing Home. Patty Wynn said that everything went well with the community meal. Promise Wynn reported on ringing bells for the Salvation Army in front of 3 different stores. New Business: Fun Night will be March 31st at the Elementary School. Mrs. Wissbaum is asking to talk to her if anyone has any new ideas and to have different people ask businesses for donations. The Blood Drive will be discussed at the next meeting. Demonstration Night will be January 22nd and if anymore people want to do a demonstration they should call Joann.
Project or Activity Reports: Caiti Enger announced that the Cloverbuds attending the next meeting should bring a 4”x6” photo with them. Fiber Arts Day is the 20th from 1-4pm and its in the Rolling in Clover. Andrea reminded people to turn in Camp counselor forms. Also the Sensational Saturday for needs to be sent in by the 22nd. Ambassadors invite 7th grade or older to go snow tubing at Cascade on January 21st and to meet by group sales at 2pm. Cooking and Breads members are to meet with Mrs. Wynn after the meeting. Joann Dalton took care of odds and ends like: plate missing a home, certificates, cameras, and sunglasses.Communication Arts Festival

December 06 Meeting Minutes

Old Business: Nursing Home money donation will be taken by the Ehlert’s and Food Pantry donations will be taken by the Adams family. The Communication Arts Festival registrations are due. Caiti Enger talked about Santa’s Workshop, it will be the 18th, 19th, 21st from 6:30-8:30. Members can come to the fairgrounds and wrap presents. Peace Wynn listed off times for the Salvation Army on the 8th and 9th. Patty Wynn reported on our club’s Musical, the Wizard of Oz, and our club got a blue ribbon! Caroling will be Sunday December 10th at 3:00pm.
New Business: Patty Wynn said that the Community Meal is all covered and under control. Our club welcomed new members: Brianna Frey, Samantha Falk, and Myah Curtis.Project or Activity Reports: Peace Wynn reported on the Make n’ Take Workshop. Andrea showed how to make fabric purses, Humility and Promise Wynn made fleece hats, and Peace Wynn showed how to make fabric bowls. Bell Smith and Moriah Marwitz showed what they made at the workshop. Jayne Dalton, Andrea Johnson, Katey Smith and Danny Smith were all recognized for the MES Trips that they were awarded. The cloverbuds showed what Christmas crafts that they made before the meeting. Moriah Marwitz showed the jar dog treats that she made at the Dogs meeting before the 4-H meeting. Cherrie Pomplun wanted Arts & Crafts and Drawing & Painting members to let her know if they are attending the One-stroke painting meeting. Demonstrations: NoneAdjournment: The motion was made by Humility Wynn and Seconded by Stephanie LeGrand to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 7:30pm in record-breaking time!

November 06 meeting minutes

Committee Reports: None
Old Business: On October 20th, about 65 people attended the Harvest Party. There were two wagons full of people on the hayride. So, there was a pretty good turnout. Joann thanked everyone for coming. The musical is November 27th and Patty Wynn welcomed all the members not in the musical to come and encourage and support our club. Also, a thanks was given to the Achievement Night/Potluck Committee.
New Business: We had the Awards Presentation, members were announced by number of years in 4-H and given 5$ gift card to WalMart and also a certificate. We then had the New Member Installation, families and new members came to the front and told us their names. They were then given a camera because it’s very important in 4-H!! Joann Dalton discussed the literature and record book materials. Members were reminded to bring their money to Sam Marwitz as soon as possible. The winter club activity was brought up and Debbie Kuhl and Sally Chapman thought that the club could go to a Mallard’s game in May or June. At the next meeting we are having Nursing home and Food pantry donations. The club booklets were handed out and the new “blog” was talked about (http://northscott4hclub.blogspot.com) Kari Johnson talked about the club budget and after a little discussion the budget passed with a motion by Caiti Enger and a second by Joseph Wynn. Caiti Enger will call and set up times and dates of the Santa’s Workshop. Promise Wynn will call for the Salvation Army. Caroling at the Nursing Home will be on Saturday December 9th and the time is TBA at the next meeting.
Project or Activity Reports: A few members reported on a Great Wolf Lodge SDLT Leadership Retreat that they attended. They learned step-by-step how to make good decisions and would really like to see more members attend. Michael Knutson is collecting toiletry items for his community service project for the homeless shelter. Alyssa Kuhl has a new service project and members were asked to bring in any old jewelry to give away as prizes during bingo at the Nursing Home. Angie Banks and Alyssa Kuhl talked about Statewide Arts Camp at Upham Woods. Also, on October 8th, Alyssa went to Petsmart and walked around the store with a dog from the Humane Society and customers got to ask her questions about the dog and possibly adopt it. Danny Smith described Officer Training that was hosted by the ambassadors. There they learned how to fulfill their positions and they played icebreaker games with duct tape and apples…? Promise Wynn reported on the Helping Hands Workshop on October 19th. Peace, Humility and Promise Wynn, and Lindsey and Andrea Johnson made “ouch dolls”, pillowcases and blankets. Cherrie Pomplun asked all arts and crafts members to see her after the meeting to get information. Alyssa Kuhl and Lindsey Johnson talked about a crocheting meeting where they made butterfly magnets; the next crochet meeting will be December 10th. The Communication Arts Contest will be coming up it is on January 8th at Marcellon School. Foods and Breads Project members were reminded by Patty Wynn to take a look at the Clover Notes for information about the Community Meal on December 17th. Katey Smith reported on MES Interviews, Katey, Andrea Johnson and Jayne Dalton are all trying to go on trips.

October 06 Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order by: Andrea JohnsonThe American pledge was led by: Jonathan Pulver and Madelyn ChapmanThe 4-H pledge was led by: Isabelle Smith and Tyler GripentrogBirthdays: Amber DehmlowThe club welcomed all the new members who came to the meeting.Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved by Katey Smith.The Treasurer’s Report was given by Sam Marwitz.The balance as of the last meeting on9-11-06 was $1,655.82. The current balance is $1,626.74.
Debbie Kuhl introduced the guest speaker, Cindy Holland and her 6-month-old yellow lab, Elliot. They were with the WAGS program, which are Wisconsin Academy of Graduate Service dogs. These dogs are taught how to “leave it,” turn on and off a light switch, and even open the refrigerator. Eric Curtis did different tricks with Elliot as well.
Committee Reports: Promise Wynn reported that the musical “The Wizard of Oz,” would start practices at the Grace Presbyterian Church at 3:15-4:30. The Presentation of the musical is the Monday following Thanksgiving. Many families helped with Adopt-A-Highway and teams with the most trash and most unusual item won prizes. Peace Wynn reported on the Window Display activity with the 3rd graders. Back to School Night was a hit and many new members attended the meeting. Joann Dalton gave a description of what the Leader’s Council is and what they do for all of the new families to know. The Junior Council meets four times a year to plan different activities. Officer Training was October 21st at the Portage Jr. High. Other topics the Leader’s Council discussed was the workdays to clean at the Fairgrounds and the garbage can painting project. Our club’s Buddy Club is the Triple Creek Clovers of Poynette. They invited our club to a haunted house on Oct. 29 at 6:45. The Enrollment forms were due and new members are to see Kari Johnson. New officers were recognized for new members to see and were given lanyards. Cherrie Pomplum discussed arrangements and plans for the Fall Achievement Potluck.

New Business: The Harvest Party will be held October 20th Rain or Shine. There will be food, games and prizes. The Scarecrow making contest begins at 6:15pm. New member installation and budget were postponed until the next meeting. Kari talked about MES Forms and different trips. The county awards day will be Sunday the 8th and members were reminded about the potluck and hayride afterwards.
Project or Activity Reports: Samantha Schulz attended Kid’s Day at Culvers and had fun. Taylor Pomplun went to a class at Edgewater greenhouse where they painted sunflowers on a vase. Hannah Jenkins and Erin Becker attended a youth leadership conference at Great Wolf lodge. Our club’s ambassadors were recognized, they are Andrea Johnson, Danny Smith, and Peace Wynn. Jayne Dalton had a weigh in of all the pop-tops collected for the past two years! They weighed 99.2 pounds! Michael Knutson talked about his community service project and asked members to donate different kinds of toiletry items to the Homeless Shelter. Joann Dalton added that the Leader’s Council was looking to do something for the Homeless Shelter as well. Tammy Smith announced the next two crocheting meeting dates, October 23rd and November 5th.Demonstrations: Peace Wynn gave a demonstration on “No-Sew Fabric Pumpkins.”Adjournment: The motion was made by Jayne Dalton and Seconded by Joseph Wynn to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 8:30pm. The next meeting is Nov. 6 at 6:00 with the potluck. The meeting and awards will follow.
